Abstract

Back to nature is the right term to be wise in choosing the basic ingredients of a produck. Wound soap is a produck that has been widely circulated in the community, but the basic ingredients used contain more chemical elements. Betel leaf (Piper betle) and aloe vera (Aloevera) extracted have been studied and found to contain substances / substances that are useful as an antiseptic and antibaketrial. Therefore this research aims to determine the effectiveness of wound liquid soap with active ingredients betel leaf extract (Piper betle) and aloe vera (Aloe vera) on the population of bacteria Pseudomonas aurugina, Staphilococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. This study uses a bacterial analysis test by means of biochemical testing in isolation from all three types of bacteria in the laboratory of PT. Liquid Pharmalab Indonesia. Samples of liquid soap were examined by 2 methods, namely without dilution and with dilution of 1: 10. The results of the study after 30 seconds contact showed the number of bacteria population without dilution on Pseudomonas aurugina, Staphil coccus aureus and Escherichia coli decreased the number of colon by 6 log reduction or 99.9% and in liquid soap with dilution shows that the number of bacterial populations in Pseudomonas aurugina, and Escherichia coli also decreases the number of colonies with 6 log reduction results or 99%, whereas in Staphilococcus aureus bacteria the number of colon decreases is still 5 log reduction. 9.2 x 10, but this number is still categorized as a 99.9% decline. So that wound liquid soap with active ingredients extract of betel leaf and aloe vera is effective against decreasing the number of colonies in all three bacteria.
